Parents Learn First Aid

This half term we had ten parents / carers in school that completed a two hour ‘First Aid’ course delivered by Middlesbrough Community Learning.

Each participant received a First Aid certificate as recognition that they had completed the two hour course.

This session has received some very positive feedback from the parents / carers that attended with 100% of them agreeing that they had enjoyed the course and found it very interesting.

When asked why, comments included:

“Felt really relaxed and comfortable.”

“Useful information. Able to learn child resuscitation.”

“Informative and felt learnt something.”

“Really enjoyed this course.”

“I learnt how to cope if I was in a situation with my children.”

“Everything was good and easy to understand.”

“I learnt things I didn’t know.”

“Very useful for day to day life.”

They were also asked what they found useful.

“Advice on choking.”

“Child resuscitation.”

“All of it really.”

“CPR.”

“CPR. Choking.”

“Everything.”

“All of it.”

“The information given.”

Overall parents fed back that they wished it had been longer than the two hours given, as they wanted to learn so much more!

We hope to re-run this course as well as a longer one in the future.
