KS1 Open Morning

This morning we have had the second open morning of the week! This time for our Key Stage 1 parents and families.

It has been so nice to see so many of you in school and we have once again had fantastic feedback!

The activities this morning included:

Activity 1 Fly along to Mrs Rayment’s classroom to create a Superhero of your own with Mrs Raynes.
Activity 2 Zoom over to Mr Carroll’s class and join Miss Wilans and Mrs Callaghan to design an amazing Superhero mask.
Activity 3 Join Mrs Rayment on an orienteering adventure at the KS1 Playground.
Activity 4 Whoosh along to the retreat outside to use your maths’s skills and build a tower for a Superhero with Miss West wood and Mrs Stubbs.
Activity 5 Koin Miss Weetman to make a Superhero come to life using an amazing APP on the ipads.
Activity 6 Build a reading den with Mr Carroll in the hall and read your favourite book by torch light.

Parents and family members shared some of the reasons as to why they have enjoyed the morning so much:

“I have a better understanding of how his homework links to his work at school. Also very interesting to watch him interact with other boys and girls and stay on task.”

“It was really nice to spend some time with my child and find out what he has been learning.”

“Enjoy seeing what my child is learning about and enjoy doing the activities together.”

“Well organised and good to see how and why they learn.”

“Great fun!”

Parents and families also commented about the activities they enjoyed:

“Loved Mr Carroll’s activity – reading in dens with torches. Mrs Raynes always impresses with her creativeness!”

“Making a superspud!”

“All very good – love outdoor learning!”

We look forward to welcoming more of you at further Open Morning’s across the year!
