Key Stage 1 Open Morning

On Friday this week 44 parents attended are Open Morning at Key Stage One to join in a variety of activities linked to the children’s topic ‘Wriggle and Crawl’ this half term. The activities included:

  • Playing ‘Beetle Drive’.
  • Getting active in the top hall.
  • Making healthy minibeasts to eat.
  • Creating beautiful butterflies.
  • Giving directions to our ‘Bee Bots’ to take them on a journey.
  • Exploring our outdoor area to find minibeasts.

100% of parents that completed our questionnaire at the end of the morning (22) said that they had enjoyed the morning!

When asked why comments included:

“It was fun and creative.”

“It was fun to do something with my child in school.”

“It was nice to spend one on one time with my child.”

“I enjoyed seeing all of the children having fun.”

“I like to see how XXX is doing with his school topics and this is a perfect way.”

“I loved all of the activities and how it was organised.”

“Great interaction with the kids, it’s great to join in with things they are learning.”

When asked what activities they had enjoyed, the responses were:

“Build a beetle.”

“All but loved the butterfly and beetle game which we will play at home.”

“All of the activities.”

“We enjoyed all of the activities but especially hunting for mini beasts.”

“Always fun and enjoyable.”
